Why Camp?
Camp Alandale exists to introduce abused children to the life-changing reality of Jesus Christ and equip them to lead meaningful and productive lives.
Foster youth are 3-5x more likely to commit suicide than same age peers
Only 4% of Gen-Z identifies as Christian
Less than half of all foster youth in California graduate high school
51% of adults who were abused as children experience domestic abuse in later life
Over 60,000 children are in the California foster system
The Gospel:
our program centers around the good news of Jesus as
campers are taught Biblical truth and application.
Relationship:
campers learn to develop healthy relationships by the
example of counselors, junior counselors, and staff.
Guidance:
counselors aid in guiding campers to process life's
hardships through the lens of God's love & care.
Equipping:
campers are equipped with practical & relational skills for
success in everyday life and tools to build Biblical character.
WHAT MAKES CAMP ALANDALE DIFFERENT?
We are funded by individuals, businesses, and organizations who have interest in bringing hope & healing through the gospel.
Camp is absolutely free for all campers, counselors, and junior counselors to attend.
Campers are always welcome back to camp, even if their foster status changes. This allows for relationship building & spiritual growth.
