Requirements for Campers
County of Origin: We accept children who have been placed from Orange County for immediate registration. We also accept registrations from children placed in Riverside County for a limited amount of registrations, as well as to be put on our waiting list. We do not accept children from other counties at this time.
Behavior Issues: Children who attend camp need to be able to function in a group setting. There are no individual activities and the camp schedule is jam-packed. There is no down time or free time. If a child has difficulty functioning in a group setting, then this camp program is not for them. If this may be a concern, please call the office to discuss this issue on an individual basis.Grade Levels: Please register campers for programs based on the grade level they will be going into for the fall. We use grade rather than age so the child will be in the group that they are used to functioning with. However, a child must be at least 9 years old to attend camp.
Medications: We accept children who are taking medication. However, all medications must be in the original prescription container. Instructions for the dispensing of medications needs to be clearly written. If the instructions differ from the prescription container, please explain. If medications differ from what was written on the registration form, please explain.
Physical Disabilities: Children with physical disabilities can be registered for camp if they are able to function in a normal camp setting with no special facilities. Please call before registering to discuss this on an individual basis.
Mental Disabilities: Children with mental disabilities can be registered for camp if they can function with their normal grade group. We prefer that the child come to camp with the age group that they can best function with. Please call before registering to discuss this on an individual basis.
Cost of Camp & Sponsorship
There is no cost to attend camp. We just want to make sure that your child will come to camp if you are going to reserve a space.
Sponsorship: All campers who come to camp are sponsored through Camp Alandale's financial support. Camp Alandale is a non-profit organization supported by churches, businesses, and individuals wanting to give abused and neglected children an opportunity to experience the love of Jesus Christ at a Christian camp. Although there is no cost for camp, we ask that all children who register for camp are committed to coming. Please do not reserve a space for a child who is unable to attend camp. If your child is unable to attend camp, please contact us immediately so we can fill your child's space.
